The firms, accompanied by a senior staff member of The Embassy of The Gambia, also sought to identify additional partnership opportunities for match-ups with other county businesses that did not travel as a part of the mission.

The 10 companies that participated in this mission are Basic Technologies International (agriculture, construction supply, transportation), Comet International (telecommunications), Dynamic Concepts Network (fisheries), Global Bio-Energy, Inc. (alternative energy production), Shekinah Koncepts, Inc. (computers and communications), The Atrium Group USA (airlines, hotels, commodities), TradeNexus, LLC (medical and office equipment and supplies), Worldbound Limited (manufacturing), Worldwise Services, Inc./International Center for Transcultural Education/University of Maryland College Park (distance learning and workforce development), and The Berrin Group LLC/Saint Paul Community Development Corporation (international trade management and community development).

The Embassy of The Gambia in Washington, D.C. organized this mission in collaboration with GIPZA, The Berrin Group, LLC and the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation.
